Traintosky 2k26 is a one-of-a-kind national-level hackathon organized by NTLS. We are taking innovation out of the lab and onto the tracks for a massive 48-hour round-trip challenge.

Event Duration: July 2nd – July 3rd, 2026 (48 Hours)
This is a continuous 48-hour innovation marathon on wheels:
Day 1 (July 2): Departure from Chennai Egmore ➔ Destination Guruvayur.
Day 2 (July 3): Return journey from Guruvayur ➔ Arrival at Chennai Egmore.
Post-Journey: Final judgment and the prize distribution ceremony will follow the return arrival at the station.
Boarding Options: Shortlisted students will have the flexibility to be onboarded at different railway stations along the route. Specific boarding points will be grouped and communicated once the final list is released.
First Prize: ₹10,000 (Team)
Second Prize: ₹5,000 (Team)
Third Prize: ₹3,000 (Team)
Best Performer: ₹2,000 (Individual)
Eligibility: Open to all college students (1st to 4th year).
Capacity: Limited to 100–120 participants (approx. 25–30 teams).
Step 1: Slot Application: Interested students must first apply for a slot.
Step 2: Technical Assessment - Applicants will undergo a technical knowledge assessment.
Step 3: Payment: Shortlisted candidates will receive a boarding point through official channels.
Step 4: Selection Note: If a student pays but is not selected for the final list after the registration close date, the amount is refunded minus a 3% processing charge.
Step 5: Randomized Teaming: To foster networking, students are teamed up (4 members per team) randomly via token numbers.
The Challenge: Problem statements are disclosed only after onboarding the train at the station.
Entry Fee: ₹1,500 per person
Included: Round-trip train travel and food for the entire 48-hour duration.
NTLS Support: Professional mentorship, technical amenities, and all event-related expenses.
Safety: Strictly no flames, explosives, or hazardous items.
Conduct: Zero tolerance for drugs or restricted drinks. Violators take full personal responsibility; NTLS holds no liability.
Valuables: Do not carry expensive items like gold jewelry. NTLS is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings.
Essentials: Students must carry a pair of clothes for refreshing and snacks/cool drinks if desired.
Not Shortlisted: ₹1,500 refund minus a 3% processing fee.
Event Cancellation: 100% refund (₹1,500) if NTLS cancels due to external causes.
Student Withdrawal: Cancellation must be requested at least one week prior to the July 2nd start date. No refunds thereafter.
Process: All refunds are processed only after actual payment verification.
